Reflecting on what lies hidden under the surface, ‘Beneath‘ uses symmetry and repetition to create a sense of balance. This is then thrown into question by other narratives. Filmed below the M25 at Junction 13 on a beautiful Autumnal day, I later found out this had been a significant Bronze Age site. Many sacrificial artefacts had been found during excavations for the bridge. The swans act as reminder that appearances can be deceptive. Sometimes we must tune in to what lies beneath.
