Jerwood Open Forest

'Production', 2014, Running time 6'

'Reverse', 2014, Running time 13'' looped

'Interference', 2014, Running time 2' 43''

I was one of five short listed artists for in inaugural Jerwood Open Forest commission. In January/February 2014 the work was exhibited at Jerwood Space, London. I produced four films displayed on a stack of pallets entitled Studies for Post Production and Benchmark.

Forestry and film making are both time-based mediums and the work plays with this, using non-linear editing techniques to bring together distant conversations, speeding up production and reversing mistakes. The films act as a point of reference whilst the pallets act as a prop to support the product of the labour.
